You aren’t going to feel very at home on the country roads of West Virginia without a license to operate a motor vehicle. Learners can apply as early as 15, and while there’s a manual put out by the DMV, our practice tests are more comprehensive. We also have visual representations of road situations making it easier to really see what the questions are asking. It’s the ideal resource for someone who wants to pass on the first try (around 50% of people fail the first go around… don’t let that be you!). In addition, the site contains all the information you might need if you want to obtain a motorcycle or commercial driver’s license or a learner’s permit, as well as DMV practice tests for these.

Which tests should I take?

Careening through coal country and getting paid for it is a sweet deal. But to make money bringing bushels of apples through Charleston you’ll need a West Virginia commercial driver’s license (CDL). The DMV charges you for this based on your age and number of years you require it be valid. There is also a $125 combined fee for testing including the written and skills portions. Written exams include 70 questions for Class A vehicle tests and 50 for classe B or C. Then there are further skills tests and exams for endorsements like passenger and school busses, doubles/triples, tank vehicles, hazardous materials, or air brake restriction removal. To get you ready for every inch of that we have practice tests and cheat sheets that will put you in a position of success.
